A few months ago we had a chance to visit with Caroline Castigliano during fashion week in New York. Everything was so feminine and beautiful that we had to ask about her inspiration for her designs. Here is what she had to say...
"Well the current line is really inspired from the fact that I like a very relaxed look, so I like things that are very clean, beautifully cut, really, really, high quality fabrics that have a sense of being relaxed. I like to create a look for a bride so it looks like She always look this beautiful, she always look this amazing, I just pop my wedding dress on, and I have a right to be married. I hate everything looking as if its false, and over designed.
I spent hours choosing the fabrics and hours, weeks months to make sure of that and I try to get wonderful looks with the skirts by how they actually physically move, and by that I very often cut things on the cross and I layer them with tulles and organza’s underneath, so it makes them quite expensive, it makes them move really beautifully, rather than an organza with a lining underneath, I do things so that you get a wonderful 3-D effect, and I called them the cloud skirts, and I do it really with everything."
